Ladies and Gentlemen a new man is in town and you better take notice! I am talking about a man who embraces his masculinity with a touch of class and sophistication. It seems that the last five years or so that men’s fashions have gotten very typical, neutral, and boring. Not this season, all the boring has been put under -We now see bold patterns, suits that are fitted and double breasted with wider cut and loads of color. Today is all about men fashion trends. This season designers had much to offer in men’s winter fashion in terms of colors, styles, textures, and fabrics. You will see some trends continuing like military fashion, and many new ones that will diversify your style. One of the things I have learned about men’s fashion is that even with new trends it continues to be uncomplicated with clean, simple cuts.
Every shade of grey: Grey is classic. It can be worn with black and white as well as mixed with bolder colors. Whether you’re sporting a casual look or a business suit, grey color is one of the major trends for winter.The suits for this season feature single and double-breasted jackets, pleated trousers and bold pocket square. Suits took a dominant role on the runways this season, pushing sportswear aside which seemed to suggest men should throw away their denim entirely. Just kidding! Everything’s perfectly cut, sure, even if offered in a silhouette you will still feel very comfortable.
Luxurious fabrics: Velvet is continuing as a trend alongside such luxurious fabrics as cashmere, fur, leather, and calfskin. These and other luxurious fabrics have been all over runway. Velvet jackets, colored leather and fur coats.
Chunky knits and Nordic sweaters: Chunky knit jerseys in bold colors as well as the sweaters with Nordic motifs are big this season. They are warm and yet bright. By the way, bright and neutral turtlenecks also trend this season.
Coats: This winter we saw more coats, from trenches to double breasted overcoats to fur –or velvet labelled evening coats. There’s a coat here for everyman and every occasion. I am talking about coats that will take you from a day at the office to a stylish nightclub at midnight make sure you are well coated.
Step out of your comfort zone: Men, an easy way to step out of your comfort zone is actually with color. Start off by perhaps adding a colored cardigan or a bow tie to your wardrobe or maybe just a shirt, or a vivid new scarf. Just a little bit of color can lend an updated look to your otherwise classic look.
In addition to bold colors, cardigans and vests with V-necks, are among a must have this season. Men also will notice that the trousers are getting an update .The flat front trousers are still popular. However, this winter you will see trousers with pleated fronts. Mirroring the trousers of the fifties…
Ultimately, with the perfect coat, slick suit, tactile materials, some flashes of colour and a stylish bag you’re set to take on the winter chill. Add some politeness and good manners and set yourself apart as a true gentleman!
