After months of speculation and tweets about Lady Gaga coming to Mzansi, Big Concerts finally announced on Twitter that Pop sensation Lady Gaga is coming to South Africa and will perform in Joburg on the 30th of November and the 3rd of December. A Twitter account of Lady Gaga news called @gagatodaycom tweeted: “Lady Gaga will be bringing her BTW Ball to Africa in Cape Town on the 3rd of Dec & Johannesburg on 30th Nov 2012. #SouthAfricaGoesGaga”. The tweet has been retweeted 154 times.
Lady Gaga has also announced that her record label has heard her new album, and told her millions of Twitter fans that she would be releasing the name of the album in September.Before reaching South Africa, Gaga will go past Australia, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, France, Spain, Sweden, Germany and the UK. Gaga will be joined by DJ and early collaborator Lady Starlight and British rockers The Darkness.
Seated tickets start at R315 and all standing tickets R715. Exclusive Tour packages including Early Entry ‘Government Hooker’ and Hot Tickets ‘Highway Unicorn’ will also be available for sale from The Born This Way Ball is Lady Gaga’s first tour since the release of her album Born This Way (Streamline/Konlive/Interscope), which has sold nearly 6 million copies worldwide since its release in May 2011.
