JucyAfrica and Old Spice are giving away R 5000 and some cool Old Spice hampers to people who share their favourite memories of their father with us. Each week we’ll publish the coolest stories and give the weekly winner an awesome hamper and the overall winner after a month a R5000 cash prize.
Here is this week’s winner and his memory.
My father was a construction man. For as long as I can remember he would take me to site, especially on weekends. When I grew older we started working together, for a while. We would build superstructures, (ie the concrete structure before they lay the bricks, and finishing touches like window frames, door frames, roof and so on.) All over South Africa we would travel for concrete work. My father was an Old Spice man. But I lost contact with Old Spice as I became a man. Maybe the packaging changed. Maybe there’s just so much choice these days. But then suddenly, one day I remembered his smell and went searching for it. My father had long since died, but I began using Old spice like him. Maybe the bottle has changed, maybe there’s more Old Spice to choose from. But there’s still the ship and the essential smell is unmistakable.
How awesome? Lee wins an Old Spice hamper and may win the R5000 at the end of the month. If you would like to enter to win an Old Spice hamper email win @ jucyafrica. com and share a story about your father. Good luck
