Last week Thursday I decided to undo all the great work that my alcohol diet had done for my weight and headed to the Union Bar launch in Melrose Arch. Yes, believe it or not I have weight issues and no this isn’t a “skinny is in” sermon, at my age, picking up weight is easy, especially in a bar. The Union bar was created for those hard working rich folk in Melrose Arch, who like to unwind after a hard days work. So I better not see any shop assistants there, kidding!
On my arrival, I was treated to a secret cocktail which we were required to name and stand a chance to win a 4.25L bottle of Grey Goose vodka which is equivalent to just over 5 and half bottles of the Goose as the Icon crowd will call it. Needless to say, I didn’t win but the concept of the “Phat Berry” lives on so should I ever win the Power Ball, expect something of that nature, whether alcoholic or non alcoholic, depending on what the scale will be telling me. Thank goodness I took some pictures to remind myself of who was there, otherwise my mind would have been bleak . These things tend to get to the head faster if one has been sober for two weeks. Surprising right? Yes I can! Well, even regular drinkers were pretty “lekke” by the end of the night. Anyway, these are some of the peeps I spotted…
